The FOCUS Newspaper has been in publication since 2005, focusing on political, social and religious issues and carries critical and radical views, while performing the role of a whistle-blower.
Some of the important matters dealt by us in respect of BOC are, demand for the removal of Chairman Udaya Siri Kariyawasam, protest against the attempted removal from office of the General Manager BAC.Fernando on the ground that he is a Roman Catholic and the glaring unlawful interdiction of the present General Manager Mr. D.M. Gunasekara. We have also dealt with the removal of Lanil Jayawardana from the G.O.H., unlawful interdiction of two senior officers Patrick Fernando and Vasantha Perera.
We published special issues on the Assassination of Lasantha Wickrematunga, Hooliganism at SLRC by Minister Mervyn Silva, Murder of Muslims at Beruwala, Discriminations against the Tamil People, Tribute to Bala Tampoe on .his death, Presidential Election of 2010 and the Fall of the Monstrous Rajapakse Regime. The total number of issues is over 800.
We have received many commendations from Civil Society Groups for our publications and from (former) General Sarath Fonseka in 2010, when he ordered additional prints for his Presidential campaign, of our publication “A Nation in Search of a Credible Leader”. Recently, 3000 extra copies were sent to People’s Bank employees at their request, of the 3 editions about the People’s Bank. The cost was paid by them.

BOC බැංකුව පිලිබඳව අප මැදිහත්වී ඇති ප්රධාන සහ වැදගත් අවස්ථාවන් වනුයේ, සභාපති උදය ශ්රී කාරියවසම් තනතුරෙන් ඉවත් කිරීම, මහා කලමණාකරු BAC Fernando මහතා, රෝමානු කතෝලිකයෙකු නිසා ඉවත් කල යුතු බවට ගත් උත්සාහය, වර්තමාන මහා කලමනාකරු ඩී.එම්. ගුණසේකර මහතා පුදුම සහගත ලෙස වැඩ තහනමකට ලක් කිරීම, වෙයි.තවද GOH හෝටලයෙන් ලනිල් ජයවර්ධන ඉවත් කිරීම සහ ජේශ්ඨ සේවකයින් දෙදෙනෙකු වූ පැට්රික් ප්රනාන්දු සහ වසන්ත පෙරේරාගේ වැඩ තහනම් සිද්ධියටද අප බලවත් ලෙස මැදිහත් වුනෙමු.
